Dead Horse Ranch State Park
The story behind the name of this park begins with the Ireys family. All thanks to the family coming from Minnesota looking for a ranch in the late 1940s. While looking at ranches they found a large dead horse by the road. When they chose which ranch, the children wanted the one with the dead horse and named it appropriately so.
