And now more than ever are we seeing those resort fees increase year after year. Not to mention, a lot of these properties will charge nightly fees for parking. Part of why these hotels are raising their resort fees is to keep up with the competition. Smart and savvy consumers would not only compare room rates but also resort fees and what those resort fees included. If you’re not going to utilize all of what the resort fees cover, it would behoove oneself to ask the hotel to waive those fees or decrease. The worst-case scenario is they say no.
