Ride-sharing Partnerships Help You Earn Points and Miles

Ride-sharing Partnerships

One of the greatest perks of business travel is earning rewards from qualifying flights, hotel stays or rentals. The ride-sharing (ride-hailing) economy has started teaming up with travel companies to offer rewards programs, similar to what hotels and airlines currently offer. Here’s a look at a few ways you can earn points and miles on your next qualifying rides.

Lyft

Lyft partners with Delta and JetBlue to help you earn miles on rides you take.

Delta

Lyft users can earn 1 SkyMile per $1 on every ride. For a limited time (through November 1, 2017), earn 2 miles per $1 on all airport rides. If you are not a current Lyft user, get up to $20 in ride credit for signing up. Find all the details for linking your SkyMiles and Lyft accounts here.

JetBlue

Link your JetBlue and Lyft accounts and earn 30 TrueBlue points for every airport ride you take. If you haven’t signed up for Lyft yet, earn 750 TrueBlue Points or $15 off just for signing up and taking your first trip. Full details for linking your Lyft and JetBlue accounts can be found here.

Uber

Uber partners with Starwood and American Express to help users earn points.

Starwood Preferred Guest

SPG members can earn 1 Starpoint per $2 spent with Uber and 2 Starpoints per $1 during stays at an SPG property. Find details for linking your SPG and Uber accounts here.

American Express

Get up to $200 for Uber rides with the Platinum Card from American Express. Platinum Card Members receive $15 Uber credits for U.S. rides every month plus a bonus $20 in December. Card holders can also earn 2X Membership Rewards points on U.S. rides when using an eligible American Express Card. Simply add your card to your Uber account and start taking rides.
