According to travel search engine Skyscanner, the best time to begin booking your Thanksgiving flight is eleven weeks out or, the week after Labor Day. The potential savings for booking during this timeframe could be up to 4 percent and an average ticket price around $300.

Procrastinators

If you are not the planning type, there is also good news. The booking window for finding a bargain is expanding and you may be able catch a deal leading up to the week of November 6.
