Jerome State Historic Park

The Jerome State Historic Park features the Douglas Mansion that was built in 1916 by an influential mining family of entrepreneurs. There is a museum located in the old Douglas Mansion.

Gold King Mine & Ghost Town

Jerome's Sliding Jail

Funny story about this one. This jail is not in its original building spot. Thanks to an underground blast, the ground shifted causing the jail portion of the building to slide down the mountain 200 feet away. Oops!

Tuzigoot National Monument

A 2 to 3 story preserved pueblo ruin that lies on the summit of a limestone and sandstone ridge. A complex of stone masonry rooms with its central rooms standing higher that the others and appearing to have served for public functions. This pueblo has 110 rooms.

Mingus Mountain

Located in the Black Hills mountain range and within the Prescott National Forest. There are views of the Verde Valley, Sycamore Canyon Wilderness and you can see the towns of Jerome, Cottonwood, and Clarkdale.
